“Step away from the city once in a while. Breathe in some clear air. Get lost in your first home, nature.”
I’m a city slicker. I love the large metallic jungle that is the city. So many people, so many faces, so many stories. But I’ve always marveled at how liberating stepping away from the city can be. Whether you take a drive away from the crowded streets, or end up in the country, it’s not a bad idea to step away from the city once in a while.
The first thing I always notice is how clear the air is the further away from the city you go. There’s just something fresh and clear about the air. It smells like clarity, it smells like freedom, it smells cool, crisp, rejuvenating.
There is something about the simplicity of the country, a place where nature is left to roam free in many areas, certainly not as restrictive as it can be in the city. There is something wonderful about nature. It’s where we came from. It’s where we still feel most at peace in. No matter what environment we grew up in, nature will always be our first home.
So hop into a car, take a bit of a drive away from the metallic jungle to a place where life moves at a much more steady pace, where stresses are lower, where the air is clearer, where nature is untamed, where the only noise is your heartbeat and the wind blowing around you.
