It’s been a long while since my last post, but I think it’s time to restart making entries on this blog. Which goes directly to the point above, about allowing yourself to be reborn.
As humans, we are bombarded by many things throughout the day. Some of these things are all but tiny specks, unnoticed, uneffective, and unimportant. But every once in a while, something comes up that can shake a person to the core.
Many of us are naturally resistant to change. We fall into our habits, our customs, our beliefs. But when an opportunity comes along to change all that, we have a choice: On the one hand we can allow ourselves to ignore the opportunity and proceed as if nothing happen. On the other, we can embrace the opportunity for change, really embrace it, and make an attempt to reach out of our routines, and beliefs…to reach out beyond our natural groove and allow ourselves to change, to evolve, to be reborn.
These opportunities are all around us. They are people. They are events. Sometimes they are a simple thought like: “Hey…I miss writing that blog”. For the past year, my response to that very thought was that I simply did not have the time. But there is always time to be reborn. There is always time for the things that matter. There is always time to be reborn…if you allow yourself to find/make-it.
There is always room to become better, to re-create ourselves, to restart some old, good habits. Every day, every moment, is an opportunity to do that. We just have to resist the gravity of the old, the things that we have grown accustomed to.
Good to be back.
